IMG_0257Danél Lombard,  MSPT

Danél Lombard, MSPT has been a practicing physical therapist for the past 13 years, and have worked mostly with orthopedic- and sports injuries and musculoskeletal dysfunction. She has a strong background in manual therapy, especially myofascial release.

She graduated from Thomas Jefferson University in 2002 with a master’s degree in physical therapy. Having had experience in most physical therapy settings, such as acute care, rehab, geriatrics, and pediatrics, she has been working exclusively in adult outpatient settings for the past several years. During her work as a physical therapist, she has noticed how profoundly nutrition can influence one’s physical presentation of health and well-being. This observation inspired her to expand her knowledge in the areas of nutrition.

In 2008 she received her certification in Holistic Health Counseling from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition in New York City. The program emphasizes the integration of different dietary theories—combining the knowledge of traditional philosophies with modern concepts and finding a personalized diet that works for each individual.

She has also been a 200 hour certified yoga instructor for the past 7 years, registered by the nationally recognized institute, Yoga Alliance. She views yoga as an essential part of her own physical, mental, and spiritual well-being, and it brings her great joy to share this practice with others.

Currently Danél is enrolled in a doctoral program in Somatic Depth Psychology at Pacifica Graduate Institute in Santa Barbara. She is looking to deepen her understanding of the psychosomatic field and mind-body connection to better serve her patients.
