Will my insurance pay for treatment. How much will I have to pay each visit?
It depends on what kind of insurance you have. In most cases insurance will pay for a portion of your visits, however insurance will not cover the complete cost.

Do I need to be referred by my doctor?
It depends on what your insurance calls for, in most cases you will need a signed referral from a physician.

What do I bring?
A signed doctor referral, Photo ID, Health Insurance Card and Appropriate gym clothes.

What should I wear?
Athletic pants are necessary for the gym, while shorts a preferred for the hands-on treatment in the back.

How long is each visit?
Please expect an hour of treatment for every visit.

What should I expect during each visit?
With each visit you will be working with a physical therapist in the gym, as well as a physical therapist for hands-on care via myofascial release.

What is a physical therapist?
A physical therapist is a health professional trained in providing treatment designed specifically for assisting individuals in developing and restoring movement and function in their daily lives. This treatment is applied to individuals who need assistance due to injury, aging or any other circumstances that may inhibit performance in their usual daily activities.

What is Electrical Stimulation and what can it do for me?
Electrical Muscle Stimulation (EMS) can be used to increase blood flow, relax muscle spasms, or maintaining and increasing range of motion. By adhering small pads to a specific muscle group, the EMS sends a low volume of electrical current to contract a specific muscle group. The EMS is set on a timer and the intensity is adjusted by the physical therapist who is instructed by the patient.

Is physical therapy painful?
Physical therapy is designed to decrease pain symptoms as much as possible. If any movement is painful during treatment, please inform the physical therapist so he/she can adjust the treatment so that it is pain free.
